Makes: 4 pints
Pack in Jars:
- dill
- mustard seed
- garlic clove
- whole peppercorns
- dried chilies (stems removed) for spicy
Brine:
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 2 tbsp pickling salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
Instructions:
- Bring brine to a boil
- Pack jars with seasonings and then vegetables
- Process 15 minutes

From Pickling Salt Box (Morton)
Makes: 4 quarts (8 pints)
Pack in Jars:
- dill
- mustard seed
- garlic clove
- dried chilies (stems removed) for spicy
Brine:
- 2 1/4 cups water
- 6 cups white vinegar
- 3/4 cups pickling salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp mixed picking spice
Instructions:
- Put pickling spices in tea bag or wrap in cheese cloth and mix with brine ingredients
- Bring brine to boil
- Pack jars with seasonings and then vegetables
- Process 20 minutes
