Baked Beans

  • 1 lb dry beans (navy, kidney, cannellini)
  • 8 slices bacon (chopped)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp molasses or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1.5 cups bean liquid

  1. Cook beans according to directions. For Ninja Foodie, un-soaked beans, combine with 8 cups water, pressure cook on high for 40 minutes, slow release 15 minutes
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  3. In a dutch oven over medium heat on the stove, cooked bacon 5 – 10 minutes depending on preference
  4. Add onions and cook until translucent
  5. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine
  6. Cover and transfer to oven and cook for 1 hour, checking about every 30 minutes to see if they look to need any additional water. Uncover and cook additional 30 minutes.
