Spacing: 12 – 18 inches

Planting Depth: 3 – 4 inches

Days to Harvest: 120 days

Germination: 1 week

Following the guide from Northend Nursery, in June, get sweet potato slips and put in jars of water under grow lights for 7 days to allow them to develop roots

Plant 3 – 4 inches deep and 10 – 18 inches apart. Water every few days for the first few weeks and then about 1 inch per week. Reduce watering 3 – 4 weeks before you plan to harvest.

Harvest in Fall ahead of first frost. You’ll start seeing potatoes peeking above the soil which will give you an indication of whether or not they are ready to harvest. The greens can also be used and eaten just like spinach!

After you harvest, allow to cure in a warm environment for a week.

Store at room temperature and with sufficient airflow like in a basket.
