Note: these are a little on the sweet side so if you want to reduce the sweetness, just use about half of the brown sugar. Feel free to also get creative and add in some spice liked dried chilis or hot sauce.
- Cook beans according to directions. For Ninja Foodie, un-soaked beans, combine with 8 cups water, pressure cook on high for 40 minutes, slow release 15 minutes
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a dutch oven over medium heat on the stove, cooked bacon 5 – 10 minutes depending on preference
- Add onions and cook until translucent
- Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine
- Cover and transfer to oven and cook for 1 hour, checking about every 30 minutes to see if they look to need any additional water. Uncover and cook additional 30 minutes.
